If not already credentialed, an Assistant Safety Manager must be able to sit and pass the IHMM Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) exam within the first year of employment.The exceptional candidate is detail-oriented, can manage multiple priorities, and has strong management and communication skills.A bachelor’s degree in safety (or a related field) or a high school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in applying safety standards, regulations, and procedures for a general contractor, sub-contractor, related engineering, or environmental health and safety consulting firm.May be assigned additional collateral duties and responsibilities.Assist with policy development and serve on CBG Committees and trade or professional councils.Perform COVID contact tracing and complete COVID log Data Entry.Maintain site safety records as required.Serve as primary contact for all OSHA inspections and insurance company audits.Develop site-specific Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).Investigate all claims for injuries, theft, property loss, and/or damage.Enforce the CBG Zero Tolerance safety program.Perform weekly fire and risk management audits on each project assigned. ![]() Inspect CBG-required fall protection anchors.Maintain and inspect all base building fire protection equipment.Audit records and documents from subcontractors.Conduct Training for CBG staff and subcontractors. ![]()
